Procurement Officer – Aluminium & Copper Recycling

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of aluminium and copper scrap for our recycling plant located in Mowe, Ogun State, Nigeria. The role supports the manufacturing of ingots for export and ensures a reliable supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify suppliers of scrap and raw materials.
• Obtain price quotations, evaluate bids and select vendors in line with company guidelines.
• Negotiate contracts and maintain supplier relationships.
• Procure goods and update the supplier database regularly.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines and quality compliance.
• Prepare and submit weekly or monthly procurement reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of procurement experience in a recycling or manufacturing environment, specifically with aluminium scrap.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, cost‑saving techniques and KPI tracking.

Required skills

• Proficiency with procurement software and tools.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP systems.
