Procurement Specialist – Branch Roll‑out Projects

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will lead strategic sourcing, real‑estate acquisition, lease negotiation and vendor management for Moniepoint’s nationwide physical expansion. You will be the commercial anchor for capital‑expenditure projects, turning property requirements into operational branch experience centres across major Nigerian cities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and acquire commercial real‑estate assets that meet spatial and operational templates for new branches.
• Negotiate lease terms, rent‑free fit‑out periods, renewal clauses and long‑term tenancy agreements.
• Develop a centralized procurement strategy, pre‑qualify construction and fit‑out vendors, and standardise pricing for brand‑specific elements such as cladding, partitions and LED signage.
• Collaborate with business leads, architects, quantity surveyors and facilities managers to review technical drawings, control costs and drive value‑engineering opportunities.
• Source high‑security MEP infrastructure, manage tender processes, and ensure compliance with legal and risk requirements.
• Coordinate logistics of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) and oversee seamless handover of facilities to operations teams.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience, preferably in commercial banking, fintech or a tier‑1 construction firm.
• Proven track record in commercial property searches, lease negotiations and capital‑project procurement.
• Experience navigating supply‑chain and logistical constraints across Nigeria’s diverse regions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with e‑procurement and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite.
• Ability to read, interpret and audit Bills of Quantities (BOQ) across civil, architectural and MEP trades.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lease contracts, retention clauses and performance bonds.
