Procurement Officer

About the role

Ascentech is seeking a Procurement Officer to lead the end‑to‑end purchasing process for raw materials, spare parts, equipment and services. The role will support production, engineering and finance teams to ensure timely availability of goods while maintaining compliance with Nigerian import regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare purchase requisitions, obtain supplier quotations, secure approvals and generate purchase orders.
• Manage goods receipt notes, follow up payments and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with local and international suppliers, building strong relationships and monitoring performance.
• Coordinate imports, shipments, customs clearance and delivery to the warehouse, ensuring compliance with NAFDAC, SONCAP, Form M, PAAR and other regulations.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Stores, Finance and other departments to align inventory needs with business demand.
• Review quotations, invoices and procurement documentation for accuracy and compliance.

Required profile

• HND or equivalent in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–4 years of procurement experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, negotiation and inventory coordination.
• Experience with both local and international sourcing and import procedures in Nigeria.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience using procurement or ERP systems.
