Procurement Officer – DSR Apapa

About the role

The Procurement Officer will support procurement activities at DSR Apapa, coordinating purchasing, supplier management and documentation, with a focus on import processes and refinery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pre‑qualify and engage approved local and international suppliers.
• Request and evaluate quotations, prepare bid analyses and recommend sourcing decisions.
• Evaluate Purchase Requisitions and process Purchase Orders in SAP MM.
• Coordinate approval workflows and ensure timely PO generation.
• Follow up on supplier confirmations and monitor delivery schedules.
• Liaise with logistics, stores, finance and clearing agents for deliveries and payments.
• Manage import documentation such as Form M, Letters of Credit and direct payments, ensuring compliance with CBN, Customs and other regulators.
• Maintain accurate procurement records in SAP and physical archives.
• Generate procurement reports, spend analysis and track supplier performance.
• Support contract administration and supplier relationship management.
• Assist internal and external audits with required documentation.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, Economics or related field.
• Minimum two years of procurement experience; experience in import/export or refinery operations is an advantage.
• Competency Level: Level 2 – Contributing / Intermediate.

Required skills

• SAP MM proficiency.
• Knowledge of import documentation and trade finance.
• Supplier relationship and contract management.
