Procurement Officer – Construction Materials

About the role

Ucalux, a construction and real‑estate development firm, is looking for a Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing and delivery of construction materials for its projects in Lagos State. The role is full‑time and focuses on ensuring the right items arrive on time, at the right price, and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process material requisitions based on approved bills of quantities (BOQs) and source competitive quotations.
• Negotiate prices with vendors to achieve best value for money.
• Issue purchase orders, coordinate delivery schedules and track orders to active sites.
• Inspect delivered materials against technical specifications and approved quantities, resolving any quality issues.
• Maintain accurate records of quotations, purchase orders, invoices and waybills.
• Liaise with site engineers, storekeepers and finance to ensure smooth procurement flow.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Building Technology, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on procurement experience, preferably in construction or engineering.
• Strong negotiation tactics and clear communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence with MS Office applications.
