Internal Audit Officer – Manufacturing & Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Internal Audit Officer to support audit activities across our automobile manufacturing and engineering operations. The role involves evaluating controls, identifying risks and ensuring compliance with company policies and engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits in Finance, Production, Engineering, Procurement, Stores, Maintenance and other departments.
• Review operational and engineering processes to spot control weaknesses, inefficiencies and potential risks.
• Verify inventory, assets, materials, production records and other operational documentation.
• Identify irregularities, process gaps, waste and possible financial or operational losses.
• Assist in assessing internal controls and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in physical verification and inspection of assets, equipment, materials and inventory.
• Prepare audit working papers, findings and reports for management review.
• Follow up on previous audit findings to confirm implementation of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to improve operational controls and risk management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of internal audit experience, preferably in automobile, engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Strong practical knowledge of engineering and automobile manufacturing processes.
• Good understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, audit procedures and compliance.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation, production records and technical reports.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Professional accounting or audit certification is an advantage.
