Project Manager – Supply Chain Engineering

About the role

Unilever is seeking a Project Manager to lead the design, purchase and installation of supply‑chain assets, ensuring they perform close to design parameters throughout their lifecycle. The role combines maintenance performance analysis with technical project delivery to maximise asset utilisation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure assets are properly designed, purchased, installed and maintained to meet lifecycle and total cost of ownership criteria.
• Monitor equipment performance, establish KPIs, and implement condition‑based monitoring to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost and safety while coordinating with maintenance supervisors and planners.
• Act as the local CMMS expert, ensuring accurate data capture and effective spare‑part management.
• Oversee 3rd‑party contractors, conduct cost‑benefit reviews and apply ECRS principles to maintenance activities.

Required profile

• B.Sc or HND in Mechanical, Industrial or Process Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in maintenance engineering, project management and inventory management within manufacturing.
• COREN registered Engineer; Project Management certification is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance and Purchasing modules.
