Procurement Manager

About the role

Hello Products, an African healthcare company, is seeking a Procurement Manager for its Lagos headquarters. The role serves as the primary liaison between suppliers and the business, overseeing the sourcing, negotiation and acquisition of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Review prices and product specifications from multiple suppliers to select the best deals.
• Create bid tabs for evaluation and raise purchase orders.
• Process departmental requests, ensuring specifications are captured and documented.
• Maintain purchasing files, price lists and an updated vendor database.
• Monitor import documentation, initiate letters of credit and track goods in transit.
• Expedite orders, verify deliveries, and raise goods receipt notes.
• Negotiate and renegotiate pricing, delivery schedules and terms with vendors.
• Identify alternative local sources for imported raw materials to achieve cost reductions.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in any discipline.
• 8‑10 years of procurement experience in the FMCG sector.
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
