Procurement Manager for International School in Lagos

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead all purchasing activities for Wellington College International Lagos, a new British‑curriculum school opening in 2027. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will develop strategies, manage tendering processes and ensure cost‑effective acquisition of goods, services and works that support the College’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with operational and financial goals.
• Lead annual procurement planning with budget holders and department leaders.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, supplier consolidation and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Oversee day‑to‑day procurement operations, including requisitions, purchase orders and supplier payments.
• Supervise and develop the procurement team, allocating workloads and monitoring performance.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases and contract documentation.
• Lead end‑to‑end tendering processes, from specification development to contract award and implementation.
• Manage major procurement projects such as catering, transportation and facilities management.
