Procurement & Logistics Assistant

About the role

The Procurement & Logistics Assistant supports the VISTA Initiative with essential operations in procurement, logistics, inventory control and asset management. It is presented as an entry-level opportunity to build hands-on experience in supply chain work within humanitarian and development contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organise procurement documentation for efficient filing and retrieval.
• Gather and structure competitive quotations from suppliers and act as a liaison with vendors and service partners.
• Process purchase requests, generate purchase orders and manage related paperwork.
• Oversee stock levels and keep inventory records accurate.
• Receive, inspect and document incoming goods and supplies.
• Monitor asset locations and keep up-to-date records on asset maintenance.
• Coordinate logistics for internal meetings, training sessions and field operations, and manage transportation and delivery schedules.
• Maintain a systematic filing system and follow the initiative's procurement and logistics protocols.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the direct supervisor.

Required profile

• Strong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple documentation tasks.
• Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and inventory management.
• Ability to follow established protocols and perform duties with minimal supervision.

Required skills
