About the role
The Operations Technician provides day‑to‑day support and surveillance of unit operating equipment in offshore Nigeria. You will ensure safe work practices, manage process hazards, and help maintain continuous, reliable production.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a thorough working knowledge of primary unit operations, safe operating limits, and control schemes.
- Identify and mitigate unit process and environmental hazards using established safeguards.
- Apply safe work standards such as Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out, Management of Change, and procedural compliance.
- Conduct surveillance and sampling rounds with an Operations Excellence mindset.
- Prepare equipment for maintenance or return to service, handling both field and console operations.
- Monitor equipment performance, detect abnormal conditions, and support optimization and troubleshooting.
- Execute emergency response procedures across a variety of scenarios.
Required profile
- Minimum of 1 month of relevant experience in an industrial or offshore environment.
- Strong understanding of safety practices and process hazard management.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
