Process Engineer – Plant Optimization

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Process Engineer to support plant production and quality objectives in Sagamu. You will lead continuous performance optimisation, implement tools and procedures, and collaborate with experienced engineering professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse equipment and system performance (energy, refractory consumption, etc.) and propose cost‑effective solutions.
• Implement continuous improvement tools, promote Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials (AFR), and evaluate their impact on processes.
• Participate in design of new systems, modifications, and conduct feasibility studies.
• Commission new installations, de‑bottleneck processes, and ensure safety, environmental and OH&S compliance.
• Develop SOPs, supervise operators, and train personnel on process knowledge.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in process engineering (chemical, mechanical or electrical).
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Good knowledge of statistical process control, experimental design and project management methods.
• Ability to perform basic process measurements (gas flow, temperature, gas analysis) and conduct plant audits.
