Private Driver

About the role

Ikevora (formerly Startup Soar) is looking for a reliable, experienced and safety-conscious private driver based in Wuse 2, Abuja. The driver provides safe, punctual and efficient transportation for the employer, passengers and other authorised persons, keeping vehicles clean and roadworthy, planning routes and ensuring passenger safety and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Safely transport the employer, passengers or other authorised persons to their destinations and arrive on time for appointments, meetings and errands.
• Plan routes efficiently, staying informed about traffic and alternative routes in Abuja.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean and presentable inside and out.
• Carry out routine pre- and post-trip checks of tyres, brakes, lights, oil, coolant and fuel, and monitor servicing schedules.
• Report mechanical faults, damage or maintenance needs, and ensure the vehicle has enough fuel for scheduled journeys.
• Comply with traffic laws, speed limits and parking rules; assist with loading and unloading luggage and packages when needed.
• Keep records of journeys, fuel, mileage and expenses, and keep documents, insurance and other records up to date.
• Report accidents, incidents and delays promptly, and carry out other reasonable driving-related errands.

Required profile

• Valid Nigerian driver's licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
• Previous experience as a professional, personal, corporate or executive driver is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Abuja roads, especially Wuse 2 and surrounding areas.
• Defensive driving knowledge, good communication skills, punctuality, honesty and discretion.
• Physically fit, neat and professional, with no history of reckless driving or serious violations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours when required.

Required skills

• Safe and responsible driving and route planning.
• Use of navigation apps such as Google Maps.
• Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance awareness.

What we offer

• Full-time position with a monthly salary of N150,000 depending on experience and suitability.
