PLC Operator - Feedmill Production

About the role

Sayed Farms Limited, a subsidiary of Agribond Group, is recruiting a skilled PLC Operator in Ibadan, Oyo State. The role operates and monitors automated feedmill production processes, ensuring efficient production, consistent feed quality and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor PLC-controlled feedmill equipment and control production processes such as grinding, batching, mixing, pelleting, cooling and packaging.
• Monitor control panels, system alarms, process parameters and equipment performance, and resolve operational issues.
• Troubleshoot PLC-related faults and coordinate with the maintenance team on electrical, mechanical and automation problems.
• Ensure accurate ingredient dosing, batching sequences, production recipes and adherence to approved feed formulations.
• Maintain production records, batch reports and downtime logs, and coordinate with production, quality control and maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety requirements, housekeeping standards and equipment operating guidelines.

Required profile

• OND, HND or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or a related discipline.
• At least three years of experience operating PLC-controlled systems, preferably in feedmill or manufacturing operations.
• Experience with feedmill processes such as grinding, batching, mixing and pelleting is an advantage.
• Ability to identify faults, interpret alarms and work shifts; strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of PLC systems, industrial control panels and automated production equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to keep accurate production records.
