About the role
SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is seeking an experienced Pipeline & Cable Design Engineer to join its team in Nigeria. The role involves leading the design, engineering, and technical monitoring of on‑shore pipelines from detailed engineering through construction and commissioning, ensuring compliance with all technical, regulatory and HSE requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise pipeline studies including layout, sizing, material selection and corrosion protection.
- Verify technical deliverables such as design philosophies, calculation notes, specifications and MTO/datasheets.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, DNV, ISO, local standards).
- Coordinate interfaces with civil, process, instrumentation and construction disciplines.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, transport, welding, installation, hydro‑testing and commissioning.
- Manage technical clarifications, deviations and change requests, analysing impacts and proposing optimized solutions.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in oil and gas pipeline design and project execution.
- Strong knowledge of international pipeline standards and corrosion‑protection methods.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and communicate across disciplines.
