About the role
We are seeking a Phone Servicing Technician to join our retail team in Nigeria. Working from our warehouse, you will ensure that smartphones used by our customers remain functional and reliable, supporting M‑KOPA’s mission of digital and financial inclusion.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose hardware and software faults on mobile devices using specialist tools.
- Perform repairs, conduct thorough post‑repair testing and certify devices for return.
- Maintain accurate records for each device, including service tickets and asset logs.
- Communicate repair outcomes clearly to internal teams and, when required, to customers.
- Meet productivity and turnaround targets while upholding strict quality standards.
Required profile
- Secondary school certificate and a relevant technical qualification.
- Minimum two years of hands‑on mobile phone repair and servicing experience.
- Detail‑oriented, reliable work habits and professional customer interaction.
Required skills
- Proficiency with phone repair tools.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with service software and ticketing systems.
- Ability to manage assets through inventory systems.
