Phone Business Manager – Jalingo, Taraba State

About the role

The Area Phone Business Manager will drive PayGo phone sales and manage a network of commission‑based agents within a defined area. You will be responsible for recruiting, training and supporting agents, ensuring sales targets are met, and maintaining inventory and compliance standards in a fast‑paced device financing market.

Key responsibilities

• Agent acquisition & development – recruit, onboard and certify new agents, run regular coaching sessions and enforce branding standards.
• Sales & productivity – achieve monthly unit targets, monitor agent performance, apply micro‑incentives and coordinate field activations with marketing.
• Portfolio & collections – ensure quality customer onboarding, follow up on defaults, manage FPD and PAR30 metrics and work with credit & operations to limit repossessions.
• Agent engagement & retention – conduct weekly field visits, ride‑alongs, recognise top performers and implement retention actions.
• Inventory & compliance – maintain agent stock within variance tolerance, perform monthly audits, reconcile movements and submit accurate weekly reports.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in a business‑related discipline.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on field sales experience.
• Experience in Pay‑Go, device financing or managing an agent network (solar experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with the assigned territory, its trade routes and local market dynamics.

Required skills

• Litmos Phase 1 certification (or equivalent learning platform proficiency).
