About the role
An online foodstuff store in Abuja is looking for a full-time personal chef to prepare meals for its employer. The role covers menu planning, food purchasing and kitchen management, with a focus on hygiene, food safety and prompt service.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of local and continental dishes to a high standard.
- Plan daily and weekly menus based on the employer's preferences and dietary requirements.
- Purchase, inspect and manage food ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
- Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Ensure proper storage, handling and preservation of food items.
- Monitor kitchen supplies and communicate replenishment needs promptly.
- Manage food preparation time so meals are served promptly.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils in good working condition.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding the employer's personal and household affairs.
- Perform other cooking-related duties as may be assigned.
Required profile
- A minimum of a diploma.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
