About the role

Oilserv Limited is seeking a Permit To Work Officer to join its team in Bonny, Rivers, Nigeria. The role involves supervising daily work permits, developing isolation strategies and ensuring all activities comply with HSE standards and operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, issue and sign off permits to work with clients before work commences.
• Maintain daily permit trackers and keep records of all permits.
• Report on active permits to the project HSE Lead and close out permits with clients.
• Participate in job hazard analysis sessions and conduct risk assessments for critical jobs.
• Inspect permits, verify authorizations and ensure gas testing before hot work in Zone 1 areas.
• Support the HSE Lead in daily toolbox meetings and other HSE duties.
• Liaise with clients on permit‑to‑work matters.

Required profile

• BSc or HND in any discipline.
• HSE Level 3 certification.
• NLNG certified Permit‑to‑Work holder.
• Previous experience as a permit holder on NLNG projects.

Required skills

• Permit‑to‑Work administration.
• Risk assessment and job safety analysis.
• Knowledge of gas testing and hot‑work procedures.
• Familiarity with HSE standards and operating procedures.
