About the role
Homies Kitchen Food Ventures is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join their kitchen team in Abuja. You will be responsible for creating a variety of baked goods and desserts for daily service and special events.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare cakes, cookies, pies, artisan breads, pastries, and plated desserts using traditional and modern recipes.
- Decorate items with icings, glazes, toppings, and custom artistic showpieces.
- Develop seasonal menus, unique dessert concepts, and custom orders for special events.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders within budget, and track food costs.
- Maintain clean workspaces, inspect equipment, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Train, guide, and supervise junior pastry cooks, bakers, and kitchen assistants.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification of SSCE.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar pastry role.
