About the role
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a motivated Partnership Intern to support its Partnerships unit in Abuja. This internship offers hands‑on experience in partnership management, donor compliance, and humanitarian programming within a leading refugee‑focused organization.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate communication between NRC and implementing partners.
- Assist in organizing partner meetings, selection processes, workshops, and trainings.
- Take meeting notes, track action points, and support follow‑up.
- Maintain filing systems, update partnership trackers, templates, and databases.
- Support compliance by monitoring reporting deadlines and reviewing partner submissions for completeness.
- Coordinate with Programme and Finance teams to track implementation progress.
- Help prepare logistics and materials for trainings and sub‑grant processes.
- Assist in basic partner assessments, budget checks, and tool improvements.
Required profile
- Relevant university degree (e.g., International Relations, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management).
- 0–2 years of experience or academic exposure to humanitarian or development work.
