Outreach & Partnerships Officer

About the role

The Outreach & Partnerships Officer will drive business development across Africa’s startup ecosystem, building relationships with founders, incubators and investors. You will be responsible for expanding TechPolyp’s visibility, generating revenue, and growing its community of startups.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage startup founders across Africa and maintain a pipeline of leads.
• Conduct outreach via email, LinkedIn, startup communities and events.
• Present TechPolyp’s visibility and promotional solutions to prospective clients and convert them into paying customers.
• Establish partnerships with incubators, accelerators, innovation hubs, venture capital firms and other ecosystem players.
• Source partnership opportunities that increase TechPolyp’s commercial reach.
• Drive sales of visibility packages, sponsored content and research services, meeting monthly revenue targets.
• Manage and grow TechPolyp’s LinkedIn presence and support newsletter and social‑media distribution.
• Recruit startups for the TechPolyp Startup Directory and convert free users into premium listings.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong relationship‑building ability and experience in sales, partnerships or business development within a startup ecosystem.
• Ability to work independently, meet targets and report progress.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach, email marketing and CRM tools.
• Organizational and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of African startup ecosystems and experience working with technology companies, media organisations or venture ecosystems.
