Operations & Supply Chain Security Executive

About the role

BAT Nigeria is looking for an Operations & Supply Chain Security Executive in Ibadan. The role coordinates and implements actions on security issues covering factory security, primary and secondary supply chain security, port operations, import and export logistics, warehouse operations, and protection of people and high-value assets. It supports the Operations Security manager in delivering cost-effective risk management by detecting threats, gathering and evaluating information, and designing and implementing approved risk mitigation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all security service providers across factory operations, report on their performance to the Operations Security manager and flag anomalies.
• Review and update security SOPs, ensure security personnel are trained to follow them in line with the Group SRM model and security best practices, and maintain security systems and procedures while recommending improvements.
• Support the Area Investigations Manager with mandated assessments and investigations of breaches of the Standards of Business Conduct.
• Provide security support to the commercial field force, liaise with law enforcement and network with other security establishments.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain team, oversee the end-to-end supply chain and distribution, assess mapped routes and recommend safer, cost-effective alternatives, and audit physical security, port operations and warehousing.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 years of operations security experience in the FMCG sector, with understanding of supply chain security, high-value asset protection, risk management and mitigation.
• Strong experience in crisis and incident management, investigations and loss prevention.
• Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) certification and a valid Nigerian driver's licence.

Required skills

• Excellent partnership, communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and use MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Technical knowledge of physical security technologies and security measures.
