Operations Manager – LPG Plant

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day running of the LPG plant and its associated facilities in Abeokuta. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that operational strategies align with business objectives while maintaining safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies that support company goals.
• Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring optimal use of manpower, equipment, and resources.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce downtime.
• Monitor operational KPIs and prepare performance reports for management.
• Supervise the Plant Supervisor and ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules.
• Manage QA/QC functions, investigate quality incidents, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain facility safety, coordinate major repairs, and lead emergency preparedness.
• Lead, coach, and develop the operations team, conducting performance reviews.
• Prepare and control departmental budgets, identifying cost‑optimization opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in Operations, Project Management, HSE, or Quality Management are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of operations management experience in energy, LPG, manufacturing, oil & gas, or a similar industrial sector.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
