Operations Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Operations Manager oversees daily hotel operations, ensuring compliance with brand standards, driving quality initiatives, and managing budgets. This senior position requires strong leadership, analytical ability, and extensive hotel management experience.

Key responsibilities

• Observe staff performance, conduct room inspections, and coordinate corrective action plans.
• Implement daily quality processes, communicate goals, and coach staff based on guest feedback.
• Coach, motivate, and develop managers and team members, including profitability and staffing guidance.
• Manage and review departmental budgets, costs, and financial statements.
• Organize and lead scheduled meetings, tracking action items and follow‑up.
• Coordinate major capital projects and property improvement plans, ensuring timely completion.
• Analyze monthly operational statements and prepare commentary for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum ten years of hotel experience, with at least seven years in supervisory roles.
• Previous Head of Department or Executive Committee position.
• Strong managerial skills, decision‑making, contract negotiation, and project coordination.
• Ability to initiate, complete, and finish large‑scale tasks and projects.
• Excellent communication in English, patience, tact, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Advanced mathematical and budgeting skills.
