Operations Manager – HMO Operations

About the role

LifeCome HMO is launching its health insurance platform in Nigeria and seeks an Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operational engine. The role will oversee provider onboarding, member enrolment, claims processing and service delivery, ensuring compliance with NHIA regulations and a customer‑focused experience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all operational functions including enrolment, member verification, provider access, authorisation, claims processing, customer support and reporting.
• Manage the provider network by supporting onboarding, credentialing, tariff negotiations and implementation of referral and service limits.
• Oversee claims and pre‑authorisation workflows, work with medical, finance and compliance teams to reduce leakage, fraud and unnecessary utilisation.
• Deliver high‑quality member and client services to individuals, families, employers, cooperatives, diaspora sponsors and institutional clients.
• Support the launch of multiple product categories such as Individual Care, Family Care, SME Care and Corporate Care.
• Ensure operational processes align with NHIA requirements and internal compliance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing HMO or health‑insurance operations in Nigeria.
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities with a disciplined approach to building scalable processes.
• Excellent understanding of regulatory, compliance and benefit‑structure requirements.
• Ability to translate product architecture into practical operational procedures for diverse stakeholders.
