Operations Manager – Engineering Procurement

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong engineering background, preferably from an engineering procurement or engineering services company. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of engineering materials and equipment, particularly the engineering spares and products we procure. They will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations function, ensuring seamless coordination across procurement, logistics, supplier management, pricing, and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full operations function, coordinating procurement, logistics, supplier management, pricing, and team performance.
• Lead and manage teams responsible for sourcing, logistics, and pricing activities.
• Handle supplier selection, performance monitoring, negotiation, relationship management, and resolve issues such as fluctuating lead times and delivery delays.
• Plan logistics, coordinate shipping, and manage inventory to ensure timely delivery of engineering spares.
• Review quotations, develop pricing strategies, and ensure cost‑effective procurement.
• Develop and improve operational processes, monitor KPIs, and drive supply‑chain efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar leadership role within an engineering procurement or engineering services company.
• Strong technical knowledge of engineering spares, industrial equipment, and procurement processes.
• Extensive supplier‑management experience, including selection, performance monitoring, negotiation, and issue resolution.
• Solid understanding of logistics planning, shipping coordination, and inventory management.
• Commercial acumen with experience reviewing quotations and managing pricing strategies.
• Ability to develop operational processes, monitor KPIs, and drive efficiency across the supply chain.
