On-Call Legal Counsel

About the role

Kenkeputa is seeking an experienced legal professional to join the team on an on‑call basis. You will provide timely legal advice across contracts, employment matters, corporate governance and intellectual property, helping the company navigate risks while maintaining compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Advise on HR and employment law issues, including employee relations and compliance.
• Guide the company on intellectual property matters such as trademarks, copyrights and licensing.
• Ensure corporate compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies to management.
• Support dispute resolution processes and represent the company when required.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of post‑qualification experience with reputable corporations or law firms.
• Active membership of the Nigerian Bar Association with a valid practising licence.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and drafting abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to deliver practical legal advice.
• Flexibility to respond quickly to on‑call requirements.

What we offer

• Competitive monthly remuneration between NGN 150,000 and NGN 250,000.
• Part‑time, on‑call engagement providing flexibility.
