Officer, Network Administrator

About the role

The Officer, Network Administrator designs, implements and maintains the network infrastructure that supports critical healthcare operations in Imo State, ensuring stability, security and efficient data exchange across facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain LAN, WAN and wireless network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimise speed, security and scalability.
• Implement firewalls, encryption, access controls and conduct regular vulnerability assessments to safeguard patient data.
• Collaborate with IT teams and healthcare staff to troubleshoot issues, provide technical support and roll out network upgrades.
• Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, policies and procedures.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in network administration or IT infrastructure, preferably in a healthcare or highly regulated environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field.
• Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+ are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, cybersecurity principles and healthcare IT systems.
• Must be a resident of Imo State or willing to relocate.
