About the role
Glow FM 99.1 Akure is looking for a disciplined and creative News Editor to join its full‑time newsroom team. You will be responsible for producing clear, accurate, and timely news stories for broadcast, ensuring the highest editorial standards under real‑time conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Write, edit, and structure news stories for on‑air delivery.
- Present news bulletins with clarity, authority, and professionalism.
- Verify facts and enforce strict editorial accuracy before airtime.
- Coordinate with reporters and newsroom staff to meet tight deadlines.
- Convert breaking news into broadcast‑ready scripts quickly.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Journalism, Mass Communications, Broadcasting, or a related field.
- Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and public‑speaking abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
