Broadcast Engineer / Technical Officer

About the role

Glow FM is looking for a reliable Broadcast Engineer/Technical Officer to join its engineering team. You will support daily radio studio operations, ensure smooth live broadcasts, and maintain the technical infrastructure of the station.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain studio and broadcast equipment.
• Support live broadcast operations and guarantee technical delivery.
• Monitor audio quality, signal flow, and transmission output.
• Troubleshoot faults in microphones, mixers, cables, computers and related gear.
• Assist with maintenance of transmitters, consoles, audio processors and studio systems.
• Support online streaming, digital broadcast tools and basic IT/network tasks.
• Perform routine equipment checks before and during programmes.
• Respond quickly to technical issues during live shows.
• Maintain proper handling, safety and documentation of all station equipment.

Required profile

• Disciplined, reliable and punctual with the ability to work flexible shifts.
• Comfortable working under pressure and handling technical problems calmly.
• Basic understanding of transmitters, signal flow and broadcast operations is advantageous.
• Previous experience in radio, TV, studio or sound engineering is a plus.
• Relevant technical qualification is beneficial but practical competence is essential.
