New Business Manager – West Africa (Commodity Market Data)

About the role

As a New Business Manager you will be the primary hunter for Argus’ commodity market data services across West Africa. Working autonomously, you will design your own success strategy, build a pipeline from scratch and convert prospects into first‑time customers in a fast‑evolving market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target net‑new organisations in Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal and the broader West African region.
• Execute outbound prospecting, manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing.
• Develop senior‑level relationships and engage multiple stakeholder levels within target accounts.
• Represent Argus at regional events, client meetings and industry conferences.
• Collaborate closely with editorial, business development and marketing teams to accelerate growth.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in new‑business or sales roles with a proven record of cold outreach and pipeline generation.
• Experience working in emerging or frontier markets, preferably West Africa.
• High emotional intelligence, resilience and a strong hunter mentality.
• Fluency in English; French is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel 60‑70% across the region.
