Network Security Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our client on a contract basis. The position is hybrid, allowing you to work remotely while collaborating with on‑site teams to protect critical network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Monitor network traffic for anomalies and respond to incidents in real time.
• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards and procedures.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to embed security best practices into network architecture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in network security engineering or a comparable role.
• Proven ability to configure and manage security tools and respond to incidents.

Required skills

• Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols and overall network infrastructure.
• Penetration testing, threat analysis and incident response.
