Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

About the role

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will support KIAJER Youth Empowerment Initiative by tracking the performance of its programmes, analysing data and ensuring measurable impact. This role contributes to evidence‑based decision‑making and accountability across all projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement M&E frameworks and indicators for each project.
• Collect, manage and analyse quantitative and qualitative data to monitor performance.
• Prepare regular monitoring reports, including monthly, quarterly and donor‑specific reports.
• Conduct field monitoring visits to verify implementation and gather beneficiary feedback.
• Document results, lessons learned and success stories.
• Provide data‑driven recommendations to programme teams for improvement.
• Train staff and volunteers on data collection tools and reporting procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, Economics, Public Administration or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in monitoring & evaluation, research or programme performance tracking, preferably in an NGO.
