Medical Officer – HIFU (Lekki, Lagos)

About the role

We are looking for a patient‑centred Medical Officer to join our High‑Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) clinic in Lekki, Lagos. The role involves assessing patients, supporting HIFU procedures, and providing follow‑up care while ensuring strict compliance with clinical protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive consultations and clinical assessments to determine patient suitability for HIFU treatment.
• Explain HIFU procedures, benefits, risks and obtain informed consent.
• Perform or assist with HIFU procedures according to approved protocols.
• Monitor patients before, during and after treatment and deliver appropriate post‑procedure care.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and report any complications promptly.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and equipment maintenance reporting.
• Collaborate with nurses, embryologists and other multidisciplinary team members.

Required profile

• MBBS degree from a recognised institution.
• Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and a current practising licence.
• 3–5 years post‑qualification clinical experience.
• Experience in gynaecology, radiology, fertility care or similar settings is an advantage.
• Willingness to undergo specialised HIFU training.
