Medical Laboratory Scientist

About the role

CrownBak Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Lagos (Marina). The role covers routine laboratory testing, equipment operation and maintenance, and accurate reporting of results, within a clinic or diagnostic laboratory setting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood, urine and other specimen analyses.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as chemistry analyzers and rapid test kits.
• Ensure proper sample collection, labeling and handling.
• Record and report test results accurately and promptly.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene and quality control standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low stock of reagents and consumables.
• Assist with patient follow-ups where necessary and collaborate with other healthcare staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Valid practicing license (MLSCN).
• Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience (preferred).
• Experience in a clinic or diagnostic laboratory setting.

Required skills

• Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Good understanding of quality control and safety practices.
