Medical Doctor - AI Evaluation Consultant

About the role

A remote, asynchronous contractor position for a medical doctor to help improve AI systems used in healthcare-related applications. You will develop clinical case studies and scenarios, evaluate AI-generated medical responses and give structured feedback to technical and research teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed medical case studies and realistic clinical scenarios.
• Create clinical reasoning and decision-making challenges based on real-world healthcare situations.
• Evaluate AI-generated medical responses for clinical accuracy, logical consistency and completeness.
• Review recommendations against relevant medical guidelines and evidence-based practices, and identify errors, omissions and misleading conclusions.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in medical and healthcare tasks.
• Collaborate with technical and research teams to refine evaluation scenarios.
• Document clinical reasoning and explain medical decisions clearly, maintaining professional standards when handling clinical information.

Required profile

• MD degree or equivalent recognized medical qualification from an accredited institution.
• Current medical licence or registration in a recognized jurisdiction, where required for the engagement.
• Demonstrated clinical, academic or research experience in modern medical practice or healthcare delivery.
• Preferred: several years of clinical practice or substantial research experience, specialist knowledge in one or more disciplines, and experience developing medical educational materials or clinical case studies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex medical concepts accurately.
• Attention to detail and commitment to evidence-based medical standards.
• Preferred: familiarity with AI applications in healthcare, clinical decision-support tools or medical education technology.
