Mechanical / Project Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical / Project Engineer will lead mechanical engineering projects in oil and gas operations, overseeing design, installation, testing and commissioning of equipment. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise mechanical projects from initiation through completion, including budgeting and scheduling.
• Oversee installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of pumps, compressors, valves, pipelines, pressure vessels and rotating equipment.
• Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, civil, procurement, operations and HSE teams to ensure effective execution.
• Monitor progress against timelines, budgets and quality standards, and manage contractors and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering and project management within oil and gas.
• Proven experience managing mechanical projects, equipment installation, maintenance, fabrication or commissioning.

Required skills

• Pumps, compressors, valves, pipelines, pressure vessels and rotating equipment.
• Microsoft Project, Excel and AutoCAD.
