Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Oregun, Ikeja. The role focuses on ensuring optimal performance, reliability and efficiency of all mechanical equipment through effective maintenance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission new machinery and equipment according to manufacturer and company specifications.
• Perform preventive, condition‑based and breakdown maintenance on all mechanical assets.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical systems to minimise downtime.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on faults and implement corrective actions.
• Analyse equipment performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, safety checks and repairs.
• Collaborate with engineers, controllers and production teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years hands‑on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
