Mechanical Extrusion Technician – PVC & PPR Production

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Extrusion Technician to operate and maintain our PVC and PPR extrusion lines. The role focuses on ensuring high production output, product quality and equipment reliability in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate and adjust extrusion machinery, tooling, dies, calibrators, vacuum systems, haul‑off units and cutters to meet production specifications.
• Monitor equipment during runs, perform start‑ups, changeovers, shutdowns and routine inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults, coordinate corrective actions and minimise downtime.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on extrusion equipment and supporting utilities.
• Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Maintain accurate records of machine performance, maintenance activities and production data.
• Follow safety, quality, housekeeping and environmental procedures and work closely with QA, Maintenance and Production teams.
