Marketing Officer - Pharmaceuticals

About the role

Ellasot Consulting is seeking a driven, results-oriented Marketing Officer in Port Harcourt to support the growth of its client company. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, expanding client acquisition channels and strengthening partnerships, while increasing sales, transaction counts and client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and generate and convert leads through marketing, outreach and networking
• Recruit new customers, mobilize deposits from individuals, groups and businesses, and achieve monthly and annual growth targets
• Promote products through direct marketing, community outreach, market campaigns and promotional events, and distribute marketing materials
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly enrollment targets, and prepare regular reports on sales, performance and market feedback
• Maintain lead and conversion records in CRM tools, respond to customer inquiries, conduct follow-ups and resolve complaints
• Monitor market trends and competitors, and give management feedback on market developments
• Develop and run marketing plans for pharmaceutical products, coordinate product launches and campaigns, and organize participation in medical conferences, seminars, exhibitions and product presentations
• Work closely with the sales team on sales and promotional strategies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in Marketing is an advantage
• 2-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing or a related commercial role
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products and healthcare markets
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, strategic thinking and analytical ability
• Project management, organizational, negotiation and relationship management skills
