Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer to lead a CBN‑licensed finance company in Nigeria. The successful candidate will set strategic direction, drive sustainable growth and ensure robust governance across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the institution’s strategic and annual business plans, targeting growth, profitability and market expansion.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, reporting and resource allocation to ensure prudent financial management.
• Maintain full compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria regulations and uphold strong risk management and corporate governance frameworks.
• Lead business development initiatives, expand the customer base and nurture relationships with regulators, investors and partners.
• Build and inspire a high‑performance management team, fostering a culture of accountability and talent development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, ICAN or similar are desirable.
• 10‑15 years of experience in financial services, capital markets, finance houses or banking, with senior executive leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and corporate governance practices.
• Proven track record in business development and driving revenue growth.
