Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

The Maintenance Coordinator supports the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring safe and efficient offshore operations. The role focuses on material acquisition, inventory control, and administrative support within the Maintenance Department.

Key responsibilities

• Identify material needs, source required items and services, and initiate procurement processes.
• Assist the Maintenance First Line Supervisor and Planner with scheduling and execution, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment and regulatory requirements.
• Obtain return authorizations, assign purchase order numbers, arrange packaging and shipping for material returns, repairs or exchanges.
• Update daily work order confirmations based on supervisor feedback and coordinate job packs for execution.
• Conduct material and contract invoice reconciliation, including verification of material receipts.
• Support overall control effectiveness within the scope of responsibility.

Required profile

• Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent in Mechanical, Materials, Corrosion, Offshore/Marine, Structural, Metallurgy, or Petroleum Engineering; a BSc is acceptable with at least five years of verified maintenance experience in oil & gas.
• Minimum five years of relevant maintenance execution experience, preferably offshore or on an FPSO.
• Strong knowledge of oil & gas operations, equipment criticality, and associated risks.
• Proficiency with work management practices and CMMS (SAP) for notifications, work orders and material searches.
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID, electrical, instrumentation and control logic diagrams.
• Hands‑on skills for minor repairs, routine maintenance, and reading transmitters, sensors, gauges and control valves.
• Familiarity with ESD and Fire & Gas systems and a keen attention to detail for hazard detection and mitigation.
