Experienced Facilities Engineer

About the role

The Facilities Engineer will support all stages of asset development, operation and reliability for surface facilities of the Nigeria DW assets, including topsides facilities management programs. The role involves surveillance, technical support, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, data analysis and close collaboration with operations and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support to production and operational sites to enhance reliability, efficiency and profitability.
• Monitor facility performance, conduct process surveillance and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Identify and implement process improvement, optimization and debottlenecking opportunities.
• Participate in incident investigations, root‑cause analyses, HAZOP studies and ensure corrective actions are closed.
• Lead facility modifications through the Management of Change (MOC) process, ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards.
• Support shutdowns, turnarounds and start‑up activities, including scope definition, planning, inspection and commissioning.
• Develop and review technical deliverables such as design basis documents, process calculations, engineering studies and risk assessments.
• Perform process modeling, simulations and mass and heat‑balance calculations to support operational and project decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Petroleum, Production, Industrial or Civil engineering and NYSC Completion Certificate.
• Minimum 10 years of oil & gas industry experience, including at least 5 years in production optimization and engineering.
• Strong team player with good written and verbal communication, coordination, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of analytical performance prediction, artificial lift, capacity allocation & management.
• Experience with integrated surveillance and optimization, operations support and facilities surveillance.
• Expertise in production data management, well testing, measurement, oil‑water separation & treating.
• Competence in process design, surveillance, modeling, simulations and mass‑heat balance calculations.
