Experienced Machinery Engineer

About the role

ExxonMobil seeks an experienced Machinery Engineer to support the reliability and availability of production machinery on FPSOs, including assets in Nigeria. The role involves engineering support across machinery, instrumentation, and controls disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily reviews of equipment performance, identify improvement opportunities and potential risks.
• Support maintenance programs, monitor performance, recommend improvements and ensure standards are met.
• Collaborate with partners and contractors to drive project and asset initiatives.
• Lead equipment troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and recovery for complex failures.
• Interface with stakeholders to coordinate maintenance, repair programs and reliability targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree (any engineering discipline) and NYSC Completion Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant oil & gas industry experience, with at least 5 years focused on mechanical engineering of machinery.
• Knowledge of turbo machinery, controls, protection systems, monitoring, vibration, pulsation and noise analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
