Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer oversees the end-to-end management of goods and services, from planning and procurement to storage and distribution. The role ensures that operational activities are supported by timely, budget-conscious and regulation-compliant logistics solutions, supporting organizational programs and daily functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for acquiring goods, equipment and services, coordinating with relevant stakeholders
• Build strong vendor relationships, manage competitive bidding and oversee contract documentation
• Coordinate vehicle movement and supply deliveries to project locations
• Maintain accurate inventory records, stock movements and asset registers
• Uphold procurement policies and donor and organizational regulatory requirements
• Generate logistics reports and support event planning and field operations

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics planning, procurement and supply chain management
• Strong ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts
• Thorough understanding of procurement regulations and compliance standards
