Locum Doctor - Abuja

About the role

EHA Clinics, a comprehensive health care provider in Nigeria, is hiring a locum doctor based in Lugbe, Abuja. The doctor works within the clinical services department, delivering patient-centred medical care and collaborating with the healthcare team and management. The stated remuneration is 2,000 NGN per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telemedicine consultations, discuss laboratory results with patients and handle routine and emergency complaints.
• Determine diagnoses and treatment plans, consult with supervising doctors when needed, and oversee clinical care using established guidelines.
• Take medical histories, perform physical examinations and explain medical problems during surgery consultations and home visits.
• Assist in clinical instruction and supervision of medical and nursing staff and interns or student doctors.
• Refer patients to community hospitals, consultants, insurers and other providers, and take part in community service and education projects.
• Document all patient care, attend regular educational meetings, and contribute to clinical research and publications.

Required profile

• MbBS, MBChB, MD or DO degree from a globally, nationally or state-recognised university, in line with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria guidelines.
• Completed compulsory internship and at least 2 years after NYSC.
• Current registration and licence with the MDCN.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
