Live‑In Chef

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Live‑In Chef to prepare daily meals for a private household in Jalingo, Taraba State, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals according to household preferences, dietary requirements and a weekly menu plan.
• Cook a variety of Nigerian, African and continental dishes while maintaining food quality and hygiene.
• Purchase or list required ingredients, manage kitchen inventory and minimize waste.
• Keep the kitchen, equipment and work areas clean, organized and well‑maintained.
• Accommodate special meal requests, allergies or dietary restrictions and report any equipment faults.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef, Private Chef, Household Chef or Cook (minimum 2 years).
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian cuisine; familiarity with continental dishes is a plus.
• Reliable, trustworthy, respectful and able to work independently in a live‑in setting.
• Willingness to relocate to Jalingo, Taraba State and provide references or verifiable household experience.

• Good cooking, meal‑planning and food‑presentation skills.
• Excellent hygiene and kitchen‑management habits.
