Litigation Lawyer

About the role

Hullbridge Solicitors is hiring a full-time Litigation Lawyer for its legal team based in the Ajah/Lekki Axis area of Lagos. The firm seeks a competent, proactive and detail-oriented lawyer with substantial hands-on litigation experience, strong legal drafting skills and the ability to handle assignments independently with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare structured legal opinions, pleadings, motions, written addresses and other court processes.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and handle litigation matters effectively.
• Draft, review and vet legal documents and correspondence.
• Manage court filings, case documentation and litigation timelines.
• Attend court sessions and give timely updates on case progress.
• Develop litigation strategies and support the firm's legal objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree and qualifying certificate from the Nigerian Law School.
• Called to the Nigerian Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-call experience, with demonstrable litigation practice experience.
• Resides within or around the Ajah/Lekki axis of Lagos.

Required skills

• Strong legal research, analytical and legal drafting skills.
• Good knowledge of court procedures, litigation processes and relevant legal principles.
• Ability to prepare accurate, high-quality legal documents with minimal corrections.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills; able to work independently and take initiative.
