Legal, Regulatory & Host Community Manager

About the role

TAG E & P, an integrated service company supplying oilfield products and support services in the Nigerian oil and gas industry, is hiring a Legal, Regulatory and Host Community Manager for its Lekki office. The role covers prequalification and bid compliance, licence management, Nigerian Content compliance, host community development and community engagement, and acting as Company Secretary. The position is permanent and on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Own prequalification and bid compliance in the 2026 round: registration, documents, bid bonds and deadlines.
• After award, manage the licence: work programme commitments, fees and all NUPRC filings.
• Own Nigerian Content compliance with NCDMB, including any Nigerian Content commitments in the bid.
• Set up and run the Host Community Development Trust required under the PIA.
• Lead community engagement and grievance management in the host areas.
• Draft and negotiate key agreements such as bid consortium or JOA terms, farm-out, EPC and service contracts.
• Act as Company Secretary and manage external counsel and government relations.

Required profile

• Called to the Nigerian Bar, with 12+ years post-call and 6+ in upstream oil and gas.
• Hands-on experience with NUPRC, NCDMB and PIA implementation, including HCDT setup.
• Negotiated upstream commercial agreements (JOA, farm-out or acquisition).
• Proven community relations work in the Niger Delta.
• LLM in energy or natural resources law.
• Experience on a marginal field or IOC divestment transaction.
